Our stars are big philanthropists. They like to give back to the society. They like to be part of many social causes and lend financial as well as brand support to them. But same kind of bigheartedness is not seen much among the industry members.

Often stories about actors billing the film producers for their and their staff’s expenses are heard. However, it seems there are some people who believe in helping others in time of need. One of them is Priyanka Chopra who recently returned the cheque of Rs. 18 lacs back to KC Bokadia, a sum the producer owed to the actress.

Bokadia is trying to release his long overdue movie Deewana Main Deewana starring Govinda and Priyanka Chopra. For the same movie, Rs. 18 lakh were due to the actress which the producer had sent to her through a cheque. But PC returned it. Beaming with pride for the actress, Bokadia said that he was hugely surprised when the cheque was sent back by PC.

She declined it saying that she couldn’t possibly take money from him. He is feeling weighed down by this kindness. He knows nothing is same in the industry anymore as emotions mean nothing here. But Priyanka did everything to make sure the movie gets a good release, in spite of being the busiest in the industry.
 
Levying more praise on Priyanka Chopra, Bokadia continued that Priyanka also gave him some additional dates to re-film some portions of the movie. He asserts that had it not been for the actress, his film would have never completed. She is the crucial element of the film. Now, he is absolutely keyed to release his movie on November 23.

Bokadia fondly reminisced that this side of Priyanka is similar to Shahrukh who declined a cheque of 95 lacs for his work in Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam. He had told the producer that he could easily earn this money by dancing at some function in just one evening. He should keep this money as he would need it for the film.
