Going by the box office collections of Salman Khan’s movies “Dabangg”, “Bodyguard” and “Ek Tha Tiger” in the past, it is clear that no actor can be pitted against the star.

In addition to Salman’s style and acting prowess, these films could do well because of their release dates. Salman managed to create a new festive weekend for Eid and set the cash registers ringing with his back-to-back hits.

If the recent rumors are anything to go by, brother Sohail Khan’s “Sher Khan”, which was also Salman’s original Eid 2013 release, was set on the back burner.

Interestingly, Shah Rukh has also been in news for his plans to release “Chenai Express” on Eid 2013. But Salman was not taking it lying down. He and Sohail finalized their plans to make the South blockbuster “Brindavanam” in Hindi.

The latest is that Shah Rukh has shelved his plan to release “Chennai Express” on Eid 2013. Instead, these movies might be released two-three weeks after the “Brindavanam” remake.

“It would have been a very dangerous fight. The industry needs to coexist. Don’t eat into each other’s share. I would say the same for Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Son of Sardar too (both slated to release on November 13),” trade analyst Taran Aarsh told a tabloid.
