Sonakshi Sinha says her dad is the first person she consults when she has to decide on a script or a director, but occasionally she seeks Salman Khan's dad Salim Khan's advice on new offers that come her way.

"My family. I always consult them about a script or a director who has approached me. I would be stupid not to consult my father who has worked in this industry for so long. My mom also attends narrations with me. But, at the end of the day, the decision is mine…" Sonakshi told Boxoffice India.

Asked if there is anyone outside the family she consults, she said: "I sometimes consult Salim uncle. He is like an encyclopedia! Since he is a writer and has delivered so many blockbusters, he understands today's cinema very well."

After her Diwali release Son Of Sardaar, Sonakshi has two films ready for release: Dabangg 2 with Salman Khan, which bows in theaters on December 21; and Lootera with Ranvir Singh, scheduled for release on March 1.

She is currently filming for Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Again with Akshay Kumar and Imran Khan. She plays a Muslim girl in the film. Her other upcoming projects include Tigmanshu Dhulia's Bullet Raja with Saif Ali Khan and Prabhu Deva's action film Namak with Shahid Kapoor.
