Earlier, there were reports that actor Sanjay Dutt had gone all out to ensure that his elder daughter Trishala did not enter Bollywood. She went on to study law in the US, where she lives with her grandparents. But the protective father's concerns didn't end with that. He now wants his estranged daughter to get married.
"She has grown up. It's time to think about her marriage. If not soon, then at least in a couple of years," says the doting father. Trishala is Sanjay's daughter from his first wife Richa Sharma, who died of brain tumour. He also has a son, Shahraan, and daughter, Iqra, with Manyata, who he married in 2008.
This sudden concern about Trishala's marriage arose after shooting for the song Bichdaan for his forthcoming film, Son Of Sardaar (SOS). The number features Sonakshi Sinha, who is the same age as Trishala (both are born in 1987), and is a wedding sequence. Sanjay has seen Sonakshi grow and was very touched by the song.
"I have seen Sonakshi since she was a kid going to school. I have seen her grow up, so while seeing her bidaai (a wedding ceremony after which the girl leaves for her husband's home), I got emotional. It reminded me of Trishala," says Sanjay. Directed by Ashwni Shir, SOS has Ajay Devgn in the lead.
