Bigg Boss 6 in legal tangle over national anthemIndia's biggest reality drama Bigg Boss 6 has hogged headlines for all reasons yet again. Hosted by Bollywood star Salman Khan, the show has been accused of "commercially exploiting" the national anthem.

One Jeetender Gupta has filed a PIL in the Delhi High Court that said the familiar high baritone voice of 'Bigg Boss' asked audience in several theatres in the capital to stand up for the national anthem before the start of a movie or in between.

The petition said it amounted to "sheer commercial exploitation of the national anthem and hurting the sentiments of the citizens of India". The court has directed the Central government to treat the PIL as a representation and said the grievances will be dealt with in accordance with the law.

Necessary action would be taken by the concerned ministry against the respondents within a week, the bench said. Additional Solicitor General Rajeev Mehra representing the Centre told the Bench headed by chief justice D Murugesan that action would be taken after an investigation into the allegations.
