It’s not just Salman Khan who’s in awe of the south films, the directors from the south are also aping his style in their movies. It’s heard that the director S S Rajamouli has added a last-minute scene in a dance sequence, where the ‘housefly hero’ does a ‘towel dance’, a la Salman Khan from Mujhse Shaadi Karoge.
This scene is only for the Hindi version of Eega releasing on October 12. It’s obvious that more than his acting, Salman Khan’s different dance steps have gained popularity. His collar dance (Wanted), belt dance (Dabangg), or his biceps dance (Bodyguard) clearly bear his trademark style.
Now, the ‘makkhi’ in the Hindi version of Eega or Naan Ee will also be doing a towel dance like Salman. As per reports it took seven days for the animators to make the housefly dance with the towel.
Rajamouli too confirms the news and says, “For a film like Makkhi, it is very important that the audience leave the theatre with warmth in their heart and a smile on their faces... So, we came up with the idea of making the makkhi dance for the end credits. But makkhi doing the towel dance is the cherry on top.”
Eega was also in the race for India’s Oscar nomination. For its Hindi version, Ajay Devgn has done the voiceover. The actor was mighty impressed with the film, and after seeing that how fabulous the movie is, he agreed to dub for it.
