Emraan Hashmi is a method actor, when it comes to preparing for the important roles in his career. The actor gives attention to the minutest of details. It was the same when his latest role, in his upcoming film Rush, required him to don the hat of a crime journalist. And to get into the character, the actor took to reading books on journalism.
A source tells us, “Emraan plays a crime reporter for a channel in the movie. To prepare for this role, Emraan used to watch a lot of crime reporting on news channels. He used to note down the way a reporter would dress. He paid a lot of attention on the pronunciation of the words, the kind of language they use, emphasising on particular words and body language. He used to study these crime reporters, so that he can essay his character perfectly. He also met a couple of top crime reporters in this field to observe their mannerisms and get some insights for this challenging role. ”
This crime thriller will see Emraan paired opposite actors Sagarika Ghatge and Neha Dhupia. It is directed by the late Shamin Desai. The film revolves around the story of a struggling reporter, whose life turns upside down after he receives an assignment from a media tycoon. It is slated to release at the end of this month.
