The film is directed by Bhushan Patel and it stars Aftab Shivdasani, Vidya Malvade and Tia Bajpai. The story revolves around Jaidev Varma (Aftab Shivdasani), a famous poet who lives the life of a loner as he is unable to meet the love of his life. He stays with his sister Karuna (Vidya Malvade) who is his support system until he meets Smruti (Tia Bajpai), whom he finds near the lake under mysterious circumstances.

It turns out that Smruti is possessed by an evil spirit. The trailer gives us glimpses of a few chilling moments when the possessed Smruti walks through the dark hallways of a guesthouse and talks in a man’s voice. When she’s subjugated and tied to a chair, she breaks it all up and scampers away like an animal.

The twist in the tale is that our poet protagonist seems to have a connection with the possessed girl. Smruti has lost her memory and does not remember anything from her past life except for Jaidev’s poems. That makes the drama all the more intriguing. 1920 Evil Returns is written by Vikram Bhatt and Amin Hajee. The film is produced by BVG Films, a Division of ASA Productions & Enterprises Pvt Ltd. It has music by Chirantan Bhatt.
