Bollywood superstars and frenemies Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are known to share cold vibes, however, the two finally seem to have found something to agree upon – actress Priyanka Chopra’s singing talent. In fact, they have both taken to talking about it on a public domain. While Salman took to the microblogging site Twitter to show his support to Priyanka, who recently launched her debut single In My City, SRK was all praises for her in a recent interview. “Omg! Jst heard priyanka chopra’s english track 3 times bak to bak, called in my city. Its fab, outstanding! SALAAM miss chopra,” tweeted Salman. In the link tweeted by PC, co-actor SRK is said to have praised her in an interview.
“Priyanka has the capacity and talent to become the first crossover star from India, our first creative export. She has a super team backing her and she is truly an international brand and will make India very proud,” Shah Rukh reportedly said, to which Priyanka replied: Thank u @iamsrk..ur belief has always kept me going! And not just these two, completing the Khan triumvirate is actor Aamir Khan who is also said to have been equally impressed by the actor-cum-singer’s debut single.
“Aamir who’s been shooting in Chicago for Dhoom 3 caught the song playing regularly during the National Football League playoffs. He was surprised at the magnitude of the launch. Calling it an awesome song, he was overheard telling those present on the sets that the song sounds international,” says a source. An industry insider points out that it’s rare to see the three Khans on the same page and root for the same thing together.
Meanwhile, Priyanka, who is in Los Angeles shooting for her music video is also said to be working on her next single. “Right now, the focus is on working on the music video of the song,” said Priyanka. Talking about it, she adds that the video will have a strong Bollywood element too. “I am a desi girl and my video will reflect that. Bollywood is a strong part of who I am so how can it not be a part of this music video,” added Priyanka, who is equally thrilled with her film Barfi! being sent as the Indian entry at the Oscars.
