Bipasha Basu's latest release Raaz 3 may not have received good reviews, but the film has made an impressive score at the ticket windows. Recuperating from a recent spate of ill-health, the actress said that she is happy that after a long gap, her name is finally a part of a box office success. Here are a few excerpts from the interview.

Ques: How has your journey in Bollywood been like? Bipasha Basu: It has been challenging and also emotional. I have gone through many ups and down but I have always stood by the choices I have made. Now my life has got a new drive and I have many people to thank for it, including Vikram Bhatt.

Ques: Has success been an essential part of your career? Bipasha Basu: Yes, it is important. Especially, because of the stereotype that actresses above 30 cannot look sexy or shoulder an entire film on themselves. I have never belonged to any camp but I have proved my skills.

Ques: The critics have slammed Raaz 3. Bipasha Basu: Finally, it is the public that buys the tickets to watch a film. I have been in Bollywood for more than a decade now and I still can't understand why people cannot encourage when someone is trying out something new.

Ques: How did you deal with the times when your films didn't do well? Bipasha Basu: I had no choice but to go with the flow. I had hit rock bottom. But I managed to come out of it by taking a strong stand and even opted for negative roles, which was quite new for me.

Ques: Are you looking for love? Bipasha Basu: Yes, I want to be in a stable relationship. But currently, I don't have that special person or the energy to get into another relationship. Ques: What is next? Bipasha Basu: I am shooting for yet another horror film opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
