I’m embarrassed to be single: Ranbir KapoorMuch has been written about his Casanova image and link-ups, but actor Ranbir Kapoor doesn’t mind. Perhaps that’s because the 29-year-old is in fact single to the point of being ashamed. “I’m as single as I was. In fact I’m single to the extent of embarrassment,” he told us during his visit to
the Capital on Thursday.

“But I don’t have the time to date a woman right now because I’m too busy with my career,” adds the actor, who however doesn’t mind “experiencing a live-in relationship”. “It’s a progressive world and I’d like to experience a live-in relationship. What’s the harm in that, as long as the girl and her parents agree? It might even translate into marriage,” says Ranbir, who might also move out of his parent’s home and stay on his own now. “I’ve always stayed with my parents and our house is undergoing renovation. So it was my mother’s idea that I stay on my own for a couple of years considering I’m young and successful. So I should try it out,” he says.

And what about marriage? Isn’t he being pestered by his parents for that? “My parents have lost all hopes in me when it comes to marriage, but my mother is sensitive to the fact that I should fall in love and get married,”  says Ranbir, who is already being lauded by critics for his performance in his latest flick, Barfi!, which hits the screens today. The actor also hopes to hit the 100 crore club with this one. “I hope to make 100 crore, 200 crore and even 300 crore. I’m aspiring to reach there and I’m going to reach there.”

Murphy vs Barfi: British manufacturer Murphy Radio has sent a legal notice to UTV Motion Pictures for using Murphy’s name in the title song Ala Barfi without acquiring an NOC (No Objection Certificate) from them. “The film has used the name of the brand extensively. Apart from the song, the storyline too has Murphy incorporated in it ...  This is clearly a case of trademark infringement. If they do not respond to our notice, we will ask for a stay of the release of the film,” said Sujit Kurup, advocate for Murphy.
