After a series of Bollywood films embroiled in script cheating controversy, like ‘Jannat 2’, ‘Desi Boyz’ and others, Salman Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ is the latest film to have landed in copyright row. According to reports, writer Anand Panda has lodged a police complaint at the Amboli Police Station against the makers of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ alleging that they had stolen his script and made it into a film without providing him any compensation.

Reacting on the complained filed by Panda, the police have registered an FIR against producer Aditya Chopra and director Kabir Khan. Panda lodged a complaint via the Film Writer`s Association (FWA). Sharing details, Panda revealed that he had approached YRF with his script sometime in 2011, but they seemed least interested and returned the script to him. However, after the release of ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, Panda was shocked to see that the film bore numerous similarities to his own script.

Following which he approached the Film Writer`s Association (FWA) with his complaint. As of now, an appeal has been prepared in the Mumbai HC where the case is being heard and then a verdict will be announced. If Panda’s allegations come true, YRF honcho Aditya Chopra and Kabir Khan might have to face a jail term.
