Actress Richa Chadda, seen in crime thriller ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’, is set to play a mafia don in Farhan Akhtar`s next production ‘Fukrey’, a comedy. Richa has been signed on for a significant role in the film. Her character will be called Boli Punjaban. "Yes, Richa Chadda has been signed for `Fukrey`," Ritesh Sidhwani, partner in Farhan`s Excel Entertainment, said in a statement. Atul Kasbekar, whose agency Bling! looks after Richa`s work, says "Ritesh saw `Gangs of Wasseypur` and loved Richa`s performance."
Pulkit Samrat of ‘Bittoo Boss’ fame is the lead actor in ‘Fukrey’. But Richa does not have a role opposite him. Other actors for the movie are yet to be finalised. The film`s title is a slang, which means good-for-nothing. Directed by debutant Mrigdeep Singh Lamba, ‘Fukrey’ is a buddy movie, revolving around Delhi-based youngsters and their life in high school and later, college.
