Actor Sonam Kapoor and Kolaveri Di Dhanush are currently in Varanasi to shoot for director Anand Rai’s Ranjhana. The film is an innocent love story between the two with Sonam playing a Muslim girl and Dhanush a Hindu boy. The two started shooting for the film in the temple city on
Tuesday. The actress was spotted wearing a deep blue top teamed with pink flower print long skirt sporting two pony-tails. Sonam who plays a small town girl in Ranjhana, dodged all queries. On being quizzed about her upcoming projects she said, “I have many movies in the pipeline but if I tell you about them now, who would watch them in theatre?” When journalists tried to interact with her co-star Dhanush in Hindi, director Anand L Rai intervened and said, “I want to save Dhanush’s Hindi for the movie. Let it be a surprise for the viewers.?
Dhanush, who is making his Hindi debut with Ranjhana, said that he was happy to be in Varanasi. “It’s every south Indian’s dream to visit Kashi at least once in a life time. The day I got the movie offer, my family members told me, ‘You are very lucky to visit Kashi at such an early stage of your life.” Dhanush paid obeisance to Lord Shiva at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. “Kashi is simply Kashi, beyond comparison,? he said.
