Actress Dia Mirza may have travelled the world for her professional commitments and personal trips, however, the actor revealed that she had never visited the Taj Mahal until recently. She made a trip to Agra to see the monument and shared her excitement on the micro-blogging site Twitter.

“Magnificent Taj! I have no words to describe what it felt like to stand before you...awestruck... Sharing with you my first visit to the Taj. I have to go back again... What I also saw that inside the mausoleum India is ONE. Irrespective of caste, religion, region, ppl BOW their heads in reverence,” tweeted Dia.

But while the Bolly hottie admitted to be mesmerised by the beauty of the Taj, she also shared her resentment about the monument being made dirty by spit stains. “Was very very upset to see that people have spat on the lime walls inside the mausoleum leading to the exit point,” she posted, adding, “We are a paradox. We truly are.

We will bow our heads in reverence but we will step out and spit on the walls.” Well, knowing how fiercely the actor feels about such social issues, one won’t be surprised to see if the Taj is next on her list of causes now.
