Sonam Kapoor claims that she started to work at the age of 15 and her first job was that of a waitress. This revelation was made by the starlet on the show, Simi Selects: India's Most Desirable where she talked about how being a star's daughter wasn't an asset.
Sonam, who will next be seen in Mausam, is this week's guest on the weekly chat show. Sonam says she became financially independent early in life. At 15, when she went to Singapore to study, she was given a meagre allowance by her parents and that's when she took up her first job as a waitress. Since then, she has never taken even a penny from her parents.
Says a source, the actress also referred to Anil Kapoor's house as 'my father's house' all through the interview. Looks like Sonam isn't the spoilt child she comes across as.
