I don’t want to analyse it: Karisma Kapoor on comeback movie

Her much-touted comeback film Dangerous Ishq turned out to be a disappointing fare at the box-office, but actor Karisma Kapoor has no regrets. “I have been in this line for many years to let these things affect me. One can never predict the fate of a movie, and in any case I don’t want to analyse it. I did the film for other reasons. I wanted my kids to know what I do and they are happy. That’s what matters to me,” says Karisma.

Though her children did not see the film since it was certified ‘A’, the pretty actress says that they would visit her on the sets and watch the shooting. “They got acquainted with my work and the atmosphere on the sets, which is what I wanted,” maintains Karisma who hasn’t signed any other film as of now. She, however, has several offers and is currently in the process of going through the scripts. “I have been offered some films and I may take up one by the end of this year or early next year,” she informs.

When asked if the audience is more critical of actresses returning to films after marriage and motherhood, Karisma denies it. “The success or failure depends on the film and has nothing to do with actress being married or not,” she counters. In fact, she is of the opinion that this is a great time for married actresses.  “We are in a position to exercise our choice, irrespective of the box-office, which is a great progression,” she asserts. Karisma adds that she has had a wonderful career and even today is as busy as ever whether she is doing films or not.  “I am happy to be out of the rat-race and the ‘Friday fever’. Today I am busy endorsing many international brands and it is a great situation to be in,” says the actor, who is also the brand ambassador of Kellogs Chocos.

Talking about sister Kareena’s upcoming film Heroine, Karisma says that though she has not seen the film, the promos are interesting. But what she is most excited about is the impending wedding of Kareena and Saif Ali Khan. She, however, refuses to divulge details saying, “Saif and Kareena are the best people to tell you when the D-Day is, but whenever it is, I am looking forward to it,” she smiles.
