Actor Saif Ali Khan, who turns a year older today, is currently in London celebrating his birthday with lady love actor Kareena Kapoor. Two days ago, the couple was spotted at the international airport, leaving for their week-long romantic getaway.

According to a source, the couple was feeling intense pressure with all the constant speculation and scrutiny surrounding their impending marriage and thought this to be an ideal occasion to get away fromit. The trip is also said to be a double celebration of sorts post the success of Saif’s latest release Cocktail. The actor’s apparently taken time off from shooting his zombie flick Go, Goa, Gone, while Kareena has squeezed time from the dubbing of her film Heroine.

As for celebrating the day, the source says that the two have apparently made reservations at their favourite restaurant there for an intimate dinner. “Saif is not too high on cake-cutting and all on his birthday, so the two will probably have a quiet dinner at their fave restaurant. He and Bebo just wanted to get away from the public glare and spend some quiet time together and that’s what the two will be doing spending a lot of time together. London provides them the kind of privacy that they were seeking,” revealed a source. When asked about celebrating his birthday, Saif had earlier said, “I don’t particularly enjoy cutting cakes and celebrating birthdays with parties. Small get-togethers or dinner with family is more my thing. I prefer treating it like any other regular day.”

They had visited there sometime in June as well with Saif’s mother SharmilaTagore and sister Soha Ali Khan to attend a memorial lunch hosted in honour of Saif’s dad, the late cricketer Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi. While the couple has been trying to dodge all speculation about marriage, a second visit to the place within a span of two months has triggered another round of rumours and buzz is that the two are actually shopping for their trousseau while some insist that the two are planning to buy a home there. There’s also buzz indicating that the two may be planning to tie the knot there to avoid all the frenzy back home.
