Bandra Police Station has registered a case against Ekta Kapoor after some people from the Christian community complained about certain scenes from her recently released film, 'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum'. The case was registered yesterday, under section 295(A) of the IPC– deliberate and malicious acts intended to outrage religious feelings or any class by insulting its religion or religious beliefs.
Police will first verify whether the contentious scenes are indeed present in the film and then record her statement. It is a non-bailable offence. Produced by Ekta Kapoor, 'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum' has Tusshar Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Sarah Jane Dias and Neha Sharma in the lead roles. Released on July 27, 2012, the film has been declared a hit already.
