Pooja Bhatt can heave a sigh of relief. Her comeback film as a director, Jism 2, saw a good response at the paid previews on Thursday evening and the audience enthusiasm did not wane on Friday morning as well. On Friday, the film starring Sunny Leone, Randeep Hooda and Arunoday Singh saw a response ranging between 50 percent and 60 percent. The occupancy was still better in the mass belt, like CP Berar and Rajasthan. The film seems to have a special appeal for the viewers at the single screen theatres.
However, in the light of the negative reports, the film will have to hold its position on Saturday and Sunday to register a good opening weekend collection. Chances are that it will. Sunny Leone, needless to say, happens to be the USP of the film. Meanwhile, the last week’s release Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum rounded off its first weekend with a collection of Rs. 35.5 crore, which is a very good figure for a film of this genre.
Among the previous releases, both Cocktail and Bol Bachchan can be declared hit films. Next week would see the release of Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs Of Wasseypur 2. The biggest release of the month would be Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Ek Tha Tiger on August 15.
