Deepika Padukone, Bollywood's current It Girl, has many reasons to smile right now. Her last film, Cocktail was a hit and her performance was the critics' favourite. She's bagged two big films - Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Ram Leela and Chennai Express opposite Shah Rukh Khan. And she's having so much fun shooting Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani with ex-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor that everyone wants to know if there's romance again on the cards.

And Deepika's also the 'Beauty of the Year.' That's the prize she picked up at the Vogue Beauty Awards held in Mumbai on August 1, 2012. Slinky in a black tube top and second-skin metallic skirt, Deepika cut an exceptionally fine figure at the awards which were also attended by actresses Kajol, Nargis Fakhri, Dia Mirza and Deepika's Cocktail co-star Diana Penty.

Her co-star from Karthik Calling Karthik, Farhan Akhtar, was the lone husband who braved the awards with wife and celebrity hairdresser Adhuna Ahktar. Just the day before we spotted Deepika enjoying herself with Ranbir, Anushka Sharma and Ranveer Singh at her Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani director Ayan Mukherjee's party at Mumbai hotspot Olive.

But it hasn't been all fun and games. She'd spent a few days before that tucked up in bed after falling ill on the sets of her new film, where she's been shooting for upto 12 hours sometimes. Here's to the 'Beauty of the Year,' may her tribe increase.
