Ekta Kapoor is overwhelmed by success of Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum. From the reports of its box office collection, it appears that adult comedy Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum has been well received by the audience. The film had a smashing opening on Day 1 (Friday) at the domestic box office with occupancy in the range of 60-70%.

"We were told that since our brand was seven years old, we'll have a Rs.10 crore opening. We had the highest opening during Ramzan. I'm totally overwhelmed," Ekta said at a press conference Wednesday. "When I started this film, I had a profit and loss sheet. The film had cost us Rs.13 crore and we thought it will make Rs.15 crore. We said if it crosses Rs.20, we'll call it a hit and if crosses Rs.25 crore, it will be a super hit. Today on the fifth day, it has crossed Rs.29.5 crore," she said.

The film seems to have struck the right chords with the youth. The comic sequel released widely on 1421 screens and withstanding Ramadan collected an enormous Rs. 7.12 Cr (Net) on the day of its release, placing it among the top 10 openers of the year.
