Has Sonakshi Sinha irked her fans?Ever since actor Sonakshi Sinha, who will soon be seen with Akshay Kumar in "Joker", joined Bollywood, she has been quite clear and adamant about what she is comfortable doing and what she wouldn’t ever consider as part of her job! So whether it is about giving a strict no to intimate scenes, or getting a no-bikini clause incorporated in her contract or showing no interest in kissing her co-stars, she knows she will never be seen doing any of these. Unaffected by the impact that such an stiff approach can leave on her career as a Bollywood actor, Sonkashi has always maintained her family’s reputation deserves more significance.

But to have her lay stress on same points  that of knowing her limitations and never crossing them – do make her look like oh-so-repetitive! Ask anyone who has been following her interviews and they are likely to say that the actor does repeat herself, which not only annoys but also makes them feel insulted. For their fave actor appears completely unaware of the fact that she never says anything new and interesting! So Sonakshi, the next time you are giving an interview try to say something thought-provoking, which don’t have your fans say in bewilderment, “You have told us this a million times!”

Sonakshi had earlier stated that she doesn’t have the guts which Vidya Balan exhibited in accepting “The Dirty Picture” and essaying the role of Silk Smitha. “I think Vidya Balan is a fantastic actor. She is my favourite. The film has done really well. But, I don’t know if I would be able to do such a role. I have certain inhibitions. I don’t think I have the guts that Vidya has. It takes guts to do a film like that,” she has been quoted as saying.

This isn’t the first time that the actor has made such a remark. It is a fact that her movie scripts are also narrated to her parents. And that they have a key role to play in helping her make the final decision. She has said, "I got many offers, but that department I have completely entrusted it with my parents, if they want me to do a good big banner film, with a good package yet keeping in mind the dignity, I would do it definitely."

We get you a list of quotes which suggests she doesn’t mind adhering to the rules of her family even if it means turning down Bollywood offers “I’m not acting in movies to buy a house or a car but because I enjoy acting. So there are no compulsions for me to cross certain comfort levels.”

“I may have agreed to play the leading lady opposite Mr Kamal Haasan whose daughter (Shruti) is older than me, but my father wouldn’t like seeing me get intimate with one of his colleagues. So it’s sensible and professional to verbally put my cards on the table before I start shooting for any film. If the producer isn’t convinced, he has the option of approaching someone else who’s more accommodating.”

Sinha also slammed a print publication that made the claim that the actor slipped into a bikini for a men’s magazine’s cover. “Quite shocked to read that I will be appearing in a bikini on the cover of the said magazine. It would’ve been smart if they checked out the magazine before printing the fact,” she wrote. She added, “They got the fact that I’m on the cover right, but the figure (pun intended) completely wrong.”

“There is a certain samiksha (limit) that people see me within; and I am okay with that. I don’t think it will affect my opportunities.” "I come from a certain background and family name. I have boundaries I wouldn't cross. If there were such scenes (like Mandakini's waterfall nymph act) in any film I was offered, I wouldn't do them. I have restrictions."
