Now we know why the dazzling diva came back to India with bag and baggage for good. She wants to make her own dance academy and for that she wants a piece of land!
Even our civic officials are not immune to the charms of Madhuri Dixit-Nene. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has identified 100 plots in the western suburbs to help the actor realise her dream project - a dance academy. "We have received the proposal from Dixit and we will help her," said Rahul Shewale, civic standing committee chairman.
According to sources, Dixit had discussed the project with Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackarey during the inaugural function of virtual classrooms of civic schools last year, and he had advised her to send in a formal proposal to the BMC.
