Actor Rajeev Khandelwal, who is currently in Fiji shooting for his upcoming film Table No 21 has injured himself badly. The actor has hurt his shoulder and back while shooting for an action sequence. Says a source, “The team had been shooting a particularly tricky action sequence at the heavily crowded Traps Bar in Suva.

The director wanted to use a stunt double but Rajeev, who is pulling out all stops for this thriller, insisted on doing the stunt himself.Unfortunately, one of the junior artistes miscalculated the timing of the stunt resulting in Rajeev having a nasty fall on the hard concrete surface injuring his shoulder and back.” As a result, the doctor has ordered Rajeev to take it easy for a few days and recuperate.

However, the actor hasn’t taken a break nor has he agreed to use a body double for the stunts. So the director has postponed the shoot of all the difficult action sequences and currently only those scenes that require minimal drama and action are being shot. Directed by Aditya Dutt, the film is to be shot on a start-to-finish schedule of 40 days. It also stars Tena Desae of the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel fame and actor Paresh Rawal in a pivotal role.
