Filmmaker Rakesh Roshan is currently working on his upcoming film ‘Krrish 3’, which is a sequel to ‘Krrish’. The much-anticipated superhero science fiction film is scheduled to hit the cinemas in 2013 during Diwali. Though Roshan has promised to offer the best stunts and action in his film, he has admitted that they would be nothing as compared to Hollywood’s hi-fi sequences.

Bollywood can’t compete with Hollywood says Rakesh Roshan

While speaking on his inclusion, Roshan stated that his film would showcase the best action sequences, emotions and drama scenes but only if the audiences will keep Bollywood movies in their mind. The director and producer insisted that Hollywood is miles ahead of Bollywood because they have a lot of money to invest in their films.

“In terms of stunt spectacle and action, we have gone way beyond the other Krissh films. But we can’t compete with Hollywood. One of their action scenes is equal to my entire budget. We can’t afford the bigness of the Hollywood superhero films,” said the 62-year-old. “Given our monetary restrictions, we’ve done whatever we could do with the action scenes. But our forte is the drama. So, we have based all the action in emotions.”

“Plain and simple, they have the money. We don’t. We have to depend on our content, the story and emotions. We’ll try to get the audience involved in the emotions and then get them sucked into the stunts,” added the filmmaker, who also helmed Koi… Mil Gaya and Krrish.

‘Krrish 3’ will feature Hrithik Roshan in the lead role opposite to former Miss World Priyanka Chopra. Meanwhile, the likes of Kangna Ranaut, Vivek Oberoi and Shaurya Chauhan will also play key roles in the movie. Well, all said and done, ‘Krrish’, which was released back in 2006, did an excellent business at the box office but let’s see if Rakesh Roshan and his son can once again entertain the audiences.
