Actor Kareena Kapoor will accompany beau Saif Ali Khan, his mom Sharmila Tagore and sisters Soha and Sabah Ali Khan to a special sit-down dinner in London to be held to honour Saif's late father, cricket legend Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. The dinner is being organised at the prestigious Lord's cricket ground by the Marylebone Cricket Club - popularly known as the MCC. The gala will be hosted at the club's famous Long Room on September 22, the day when Tiger Pataudi passed away due to lung infection last year.
The relationship between the MCC and the Nawabs of Pataudi goes back to the time of Pataudi senior, Iftikar Ali Khan Pataudi, led India at the Lords in the Test 1932-33 series. Later, MAK Pataudi, or Tiger as he was known to the cricketing world, famously captained India at the Lords in 1967. The MCC commissioned The Pataudi trophy in 2007. Meanwhile, Saif is busy with the post-production work of his forthcoming co-production, Cocktail. He will take out time to be at the prestigious dinner.
