The unit of Vishal Bhardwaj’s Ek Thi Daayan had an unlikely visitor on the sets of their film on Friday. A leopard that had strayed on to the sets of the film in Film City caught everyone by surprise and almost induced a panic situation till the forest department officials came in and took charge.

According to an on set source, while the director Kannan Iyer had a close call and was a few minutes away when the leopard was discovered, and the lead actors of the film Konkona SenSharma, Kalki Koechlin and Emraan Hashmi were not shooting on the day.

A unit member present on the sets says, “We all had just come on the sets for the prep work when we spotted the leopard. Obviously, we were all scared and quickly ran outside and called the forest officials. They came in and after assessing the situation called out for a bigger team to nab the leopard. The fear soon gave way and the unit members were heard joking about the leopard. Given the nature of the film, even Emraan joked that ‘he had probably dropped by to meet the daayan’ when the actor was told about it on phone.At the time of going to press the leopard was still inside.
