Today is actor Shilpa Shetty Kundra’s birthday and it’s rather special for her this time around, even though B-Town’s newest yum mum reveals that she’d actually forgotten about it completely. “I am so happy and so joyously consumed by Viaan and of being a mom that I had actually forgotten that it’s my birthday until Raj reminded me about it,” says Shilpa, who will be celebrating her birthday for the first time with her two-and-a-half-weeks-old son.

“You know I feel that Viaan is God’s best gift to me, like a birthday gift in advance,” she smiles. “That’s why I think for the first time I have nothing on my birthday wishlist except a big thank you to God,” laughs Shilpa. Talking about the plans for the day the actor says that it will be a quiet celebration at home with hubby Raj Kundra, family and a very few close friends. “The biggest celebration for me after marriage was the day he was born, and since then, every day feels like a celebration, so I don’t really feel the need to have a big bash or anything. I just want it to be a small family affair,” says Shilpa.

Having given her baby a bath and a massage, the actor seems to be a completely hands-on mother. “Yes, I wouldn’t give up this joy for anything in the world,” she smiles, adding, “It’s hard to put down my feelings in words… Is there a better way to describe feeling on top of the world?” she quips. Enjoying motherhood to the hilt, Shilpa says that she’s in no rush to get back to work. As for getting back in shape, the actor says that she has not even thought of it. “You know right now work, figure… these are the last things on my mind. Viaan’s like my sunshine and I am just basking in it,” says Shilpa.
