A few days back we told you how Ekta Kapoor, the undisputed queen of the small screen and the most influential producer in Bollywood, is a slave to superstition. From her dependence on the letter K, addiction to BMW series and the rituals she follows to avert mishaps that can affect her projects, Ekta has time and again proved that she is superstitious. Even though she calls herself spiritual and not superstitious, her critics and fans don’t seem convinced. And the fact that she will be celebrating her birthday on June 9, as it is her lucky number, even those who thought she had no faith in superstitious beliefs, were somewhat persuaded.

What is interesting to note is that actor Emran Hashmi too hasn’t ever had any qualms about saying that he does take superstitious beliefs seriously. I would definitely avoid it unless there is no option.” And to ensure luck works in his favour, Emraan also wears four rings of different coloured stones on his right hand fingers. Is this an outcome of his association with Ekta? Or Emraan is aping Ekta to ensure he bags more projects with her? Considering the actor has done already done two projects - “Once upon a time in Mumbai”, “The Dirty Picture” - with Ekta, which did hit the right figures, maybe it was all because he was cajoled into being superstitious. Or this is just a new way of thrusting your opinion on others?
