It seems Sonakshi Sinha is now in the mood of changing her current image. If media reports are to be believed then Sonakshi is going to perform on the song 'Munni badnam' at the upcoming IIFA awards show. Sonakshi is battling criticism despite the super success of 'Rowdy Rathore'. Critics have given preference to Akshay Kumar's stunts over her acting in the film. 'Dabangg' was her first film where she played the character of a small town girl, 'Rowdy Rathore' again showcased her as a girl from Patna. She used a common dialect in both the films.

Her next release is Shirish Kunder's 'Joker' where she is again paired with Akshay Kumar. She is probably a different character in this film, for which she needs to develop a certain kind of image. The performance on 'Munni badnam' could be one of the exercises to get a new image before the release of 'Joker'. Sonakshi's interviews suggest that she is willing to continue her conventional image but the pressure to remain an A list heroine is also there. Possibly this is the reason that she wants to dance to item numbers to change her image.
