The first movie was a wonderful comic caper for most, and almost a revelation for some. ‘Pyaar Ke Side Effects’ was science in general, a lesson on how contemporary relationships are immature and volatile in nature. The movie also introduced us to an extremely unique pairing of Rahul Bose and Mallika Sherawat. Although, the majority was skeptical about how they will fare out, the eventual unanimous verdict was a thumbs-up.

The film was successful, critically and Box-Office wise alike. And hence, a sequel was on the cards since long. But the fans of the original need not wait any longer for it because an official confirmation from the producers has finally arrived, and we are no less excited over the lead pair this time around too: Vidya Balan will team up with Farhan Akhtar for this one!

Producer Pritish Nandy has reportedly said that everything but the lead pair remains the same, which includes the director Saket Chaudhary and music director Pritam. The movie will pick up from the original left. Furthermore, Pritish justified the unusual pairing by claiming that Vidya and Farhan are two of the biggest stars in the industry today and they would connect with the audience instantly. Well, we are huge fans of the original, and hence we desperately await the sequel. The fresh couple only makes us more enthusiastic.
