The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) may have found a window to host a bilateral series between India and Pakistan. The possibility was discussed when the officials of the two boards met in Chennai recently.

The two boards have found a window between December 23, 2012 and January 10, 2013 to host a bilateral series. The Pakistan team is free then and India would have a break between the T20 and One Day International (ODI) series against England. According to DNA, India and Pakistan may play three limited overs matches or two One Day Internationals (ODIs) and a T20 in the said time-frame. If the series takes place, it would happen in India

England would be in India for a Test and a T20 series from November 15 to December 22. They would then return home for a Christmas break and would only return in early January 2013. However, they would only face India on January 11. The last time India and Pakistan played a bilateral series was in late 2007. Since then the two countries have only faced each other in Asia Cups and ICC events.

“There’s a distinct possibility that we could have a few matches in December-January,” a BCCI official was quoted by the newspaper. “The Indian team is very busy, but we’re trying to slot in a few matches late this year,” said Subhan Ahmed, the PCB CEO.
