Aamir Khan clarifies on DK Bose credit controversyIt seems Aamir Khan has learnt to take controversies in his stride. The producer-actor who got embroiled in another credit controversy over DK Bose after 3 Idiots, addressed a joint press conference with artists Jiten Thukral and Sumit Tagra today in New Delhi. The artists had demanded a share of credit for the song because they first coined the term Bose DK for a series of paintings in 2005. Both the parties have apparently resolved the matter mutually.

AamirAamir not only cleared all the misconcetptions doing the rounds about the song, he also shared his excitement about the thunderous response to the film. Addressing journalists in New Delhi, the actor said, "Initially, even I thought why they (artists) are speaking up just before the release. These days, every producer gets 3-4 notices before a film's release. So companies and distribution houes have legal team just to deal with that. At first, we thought this might be the case, but once I met with these boys, I figured that was not the intention. They are coming from a different space, and did not have that intention." The artists also insist that there intention was never to stop the release of the film. They told the media, "We reacted late as we were travelling. When we came back, the song was all over. It was important for us to go ahead and make out point. The intention was not to stop movie or hurt somebody. We are artists and work on our principles. Things can be mutually solved. We never thought about monetary benefits."

Aamir, meanwhile, is thrilled about people's response to the film. "I don't think it can be a 3 Idiot. It's very niche. But the opening weekend collections have reached Rs 26 crore. It's quite a high number. The film has opened to full houses on Monday also. I am thrilled with the response. What gives me real high is to sit in the dark theatre and watch the audience enjoying the movie. I'm very happy abut the film."
