Aamir Khan's 'Satyamev Jayate' has already become one of the most popular shows on television today. Earlier episodes of the show focused on social issues like female foeticide, child sexual abuse and dowry system.
While many claim that Aamir Khan’s show is capable of brining a change in the society, the actors claims that he just wants to raise the issues nobody is talking about. The first episode of ‘Satyamev Jayate’ reached out to 2.67 crore viewers. It opened with the highest television rating of 4.27. Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 5’ attained a 3.5 TVR in 2011. ‘Satyamev Jayate’ is aired in eight languages on nine channels. Even celebrities have a mouthful of praises for the show.
Third episode of the show which talked about marriages and dowry system wasn’t as hard-hitting as the previous ones.
