Actor Riteish Deshmukh who’s been working non-stop for quite some time barely got a few days off even for his own marriage to actor Genelia D’Souza, which was soon followed by another wedding in the family. But while the couple has not been able to take time off for their honeymoon, thanks to their professional commitments, the two have been known to squeeze in some quality time with each other in between the shoot schedules of their films.
In fact, Genelia had recently even accompanied the actor to his sets on Kya Supercool Hain Hum in Goa. Admitting that it’s been a really busy year, Riteish says that it’s also been a really happy one both personally as well as professionally, right from his hit Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya with Genelia to the recent Housefull 2. “Luckily, several offers coming my way now dabble in different genres,” says the actor who’s keen to do more than just comedies.
The actor meanwhile is also looking forward to his first baby as a producer. “Yes, it will be my first baby of sorts!” he laughs. “We should start rolling our first Marathi film some time post August and I’m excited to be on the other side of the camera too,” says the actor.
But as far as donning the hat of the director is concerned, the actor says he’s not exactly looking forward to that anytime soon. “I have a clear vision of the kind of films I want to produce. So, I can’t wait to embark on this journey now,” elaborates Riteish, revealing that the focus will not be on comedies alone. “I know that comedies have really worked for me, but as a producer I want to focus more on meaningful content, but while keeping the commercial dynamics in mind. The balance will be there,” he quips.
