Several celebrities have proved their humanity in the past by doing many charitable works. The latest to join the list is none other than Katrina Kaif. Born British, this starlet made it big in Hindi films. After climbing the super star ladder and becoming noticed as one of the top actresses, she was seen supporting many charity works. The buzz is that Katrina's mom Suzanne Turquotte is in Madurai, raising funds to build an orphanage, to be followed by a school.

The actress revealed in a recent interview, that her mom is working for the fund raiser and even the actress visited the place, twice. She says that she has also contributed her part for the fund and is happy that her mother is there to take care of the money and ensure that it is being used for the right cause. The actress further said that they raise funds so that charity organizations can flourish even when she is not earning money, at some point. Well, Kat sure does seem to be a very humble human being, along the likes of Salman Khan!
