SRK scuffle at Wankhede a grave matter: Vilasrao Deshmukh

Calling actor Shah Rukh Khan's alleged misbehaviour with security personnel at Wankhede Stadium Wednesday night "a grave matter", union minister and President of Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) Vilasrao Deshmukh Thursday said a decision whether to ban Khan's entry into the stadium would be taken by next week.

"This is a grave matter. I have called for an urgent committee meeting and we shall discuss the matter following which we will decide future course of action," Deshmukh said. Khan, the co-owner of Indian Premier League (IPl) team Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), faces a lifetime ban from entering the stadium after he reportedly misbehaved with security personnel and MCA officials there.

"The decision on the same will be taken only after the meeting of all members from the managing committee of MCA next week," MCA Joint Secretary Nitin Dalal told IANS. He said it was an unfortunate incident and uncalled for. Khan allegedly misbehaved and pushed the security guard at the stadium, following which he also abused MCA officials when they tried to intervene late Wednesday night. "He pushed the security guard and misbehaved with him. He also used bad language with security officials at the stadium and when we tried to intervene, he yelled out expletives at us," MCA Treasurer Ravi Sawant told reporters Thursday.
