Actress Lara Dutta, who recently gave birth to a baby girl, is all set to return on the silver screen in August but insists that she would be extremely choosy in doing movies. "I intend to get back to work by August this year. I am ready to jump in...it would be finalised soon. Since I have a daughter, the kind of movies I would do now will be different. I will be choosy...I will not do anything that would require me to be away from her for days," Lara told reporters here, without revealing anything about her upcoming film.
"Actresses not working after having kids is an outdated thing. We have Sridevi making a comeback after 15 years, then we have recently seen Karisma Kapoor, Konkana will also be seen in movies...that time has gone," she said. Lara gave birth to a baby girl in January this year.
The actress-turned-producer married ace tennis player Mahesh Bhupathi in February last year. "Having a baby is a life changing experience...your priorities change and the baby becomes your focus. All decisions made are now keeping in mind our daughter," Lara said. Lara had formed a production company named Bheegi Basanti Entertainment earlier, under whose banner 'Chalo Dilli' was made. "I will be producing another film under my banner by the end of the year. We are in the pre-production stage," she said.
The 33-year-old actress has come up with a DVD on prenatal yoga exercises, even as she has been practising yoga herself for the 10 years. She had successful run with the first three DVDs in the 'Heal with Lara' series and now she is ready with her fourth DVD in the wellness category. "We shot it over a period of two days when I started my eight month of pregnancy. I think every woman during her pregnancy days must indulge in some or the other way of exercising, be it yoga, swimming, walking. All this helps later on," Lara said. "I am in the process of losing weight. Once I zero in on a right technique on this I will share it with everyone," she added.
