Ayushmann Khuranna has been a known face on television due to number of shows that he has done. However his first act for the big screen has turned out to be a game changer for him. Even before the film was released, quite a few B-town insiders were curious to see what he was up to. However now that the film has emerged as a superhit, there is an altogether different level of interest being shown in the youngster.
With the film doing a roaring business all over and still in the reckoning despite number of releases post it's arrival, Ayushmann is expectedly ecstatic. However he isn't surprised with the critical appreciation coming its way from both mass as well as class audience.
"Honestly, I was really expecting this", says Ayushmann, "I waited for four years to choose a film. I had a lot of options but the scripts I was getting weren't really good. 'Vicky Donor' was unconventional and a unique, out of the box subject. Though it was ahead of it's times, it was also high time that we made a film like this." He says on a parting note, "Now that the film has set a benchmark, I am looking forward to my next assignment."
