Are Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar delaying Salman Khan’s film?

Actor Salman Khan is in demand these days, be it for endorsements or special appearances. This besides, of course, the long queues of filmmakers waiting to sign him for their films. But just like his popular dialogue from Wanted - ‘Ek baar jo maine commitment kardi toh main apne aap ki bhi nahi sunta,’ the actor began work on the sequel of 2010’s blockbuster film Dabangg 2 in March this year as was planned. But only after wrapping up the Cuba schedules of Kabir Khan’s Ek Tha Tiger, which is scheduled to release on Eid this year. However, despite Salmankeeping himself available for Dabangg 2, the lead actor Sonakshi Sinha seems unable to meet the deadlines, as her upcoming film, Rowdy Rathore’spatch work and promotions are set to begin shortly followed by Son Of Sardar.

A source says, “It’s one of those rare occasions when Salman has given his dates for the film and the female lead has date issues. This time Sonakshi is caught in a catch-22 situation. The pretty lass, who is also the lead in two of her upcoming projects, Ajay Devgn’s Son Of Sardar and Akshay Kumar’s Rowdy Rathore, besides Dabanng 2, is now trying to finish the patchwork of her other two projects as they are due for release before Dabangg 2.

This is obviously putting the sequel’s production team into a tizzy trying to re-work the schedules. However, since both Ajay and Akshay are close to Salman, he hasn’t really been upset with the given scheme of things.” But Sonakshi, who is a Salman find, is apparently upset as things are not going as planned. “She is really trying her best to meet all the deadlines and be there for the promotions of Rowdy…as well as SOS.But then Sona also does not want to delay Dabangg 2’sschedule in any way and is trying her best to avoid that. However, sometimes it becomes really difficult if you are travelling. But Salman and the team are very accommodative, hence it’s not a big issue,” adds the source.
