After playing several strong roles, actor Bipasha Basu has now been roped in for the remake of the 1982 blockbuster ‘Shaukeen’. Under the direction of Rohit Roy, Bipasha will play the role of the seductress in the remake of ‘Shaukeen’. The remake, however, wouldn’t exactly be a replica of the original. Keeping in mind the elapse of thirty years since the release of ‘Shaukeen’, the story line has been adapted to the context of the day.

Speaking to a leading daily, Roy confirmed: “It has been thirty years since the release of Shaukeen. We had to change tweak the story accordingly. The three sixty-year-old men in my film won`t be lusting for a girl as it was in the original. My film is more like a Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara meets 1982 Shaukeen. These three men have always gone out for trips, once every five years. This is their last.” Director Rohit Roy has already signed veterans like Naseeruddin Shah and Rishi Kapoor for his film, and news has it that Boman Irani will also be seen in one of the lead roles. The three actors will be seen wooing Bipasha Basu in the film.
