Creative bankruptcy seems to have gripped Bollywood. Every second film looks inspired from foreign movies. To add to this sad plight, every filmmaker today are re-churning the classics. Zanzeer, Agneepath, Don , Satte pe satta and even not so very old Andaaz Apna Apna. Filmmakers are even looking down South for inspiration. Magadheera, Vettai are soon to be remade in Bollywood. Bollywood is often touted as the second largest movie industry in the world. And India as an emerging super power.

Any industry needs to grow and in the positive direction. This recent trend in Bollywood is such an unhealthy trend. Have we gotten so lazy that we cant even think of coming up with some original scripts and music ? Or Has Bollywood gotten plain lazy? Why is everyone in Bollywood having the herd mentality? Why is everyone following each other in the remake trend? This brings to the point I wanted to make. Where is Bollywood headed? Is there any hope left or are we really creatively bankrupt?
