Sonakshi Sinha of Dabangg fame has apparently turned down the offer to work opposite Shahid Kapoor in the Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster film ‘Vettai’. According to the sources, Sonakshi does not want to work in the film because Vettai is a hero-centric film. Perhaps, Sonakshi doesn’t want someone else to steal the limelight from her. Sonakshi rose to fame with her role as ‘Rajjo’ opposite Salman Khan in Dabangg. She hasn’t had any other release since Dabangg although her much awaited film ‘Rowdy Rathore’ opposite Akshay Kumar is expected to release on 1st June.

On the other hand, the news is that South Indian actress Ileana D’Cruz has accepted the offer to star in the action flick Vettai remake. Ali Zafar of ‘Mere Brother ki Dulhan’ fame will also be part of the film in which he will play the role of Shahid’s elder brother. Zafar would be replacing Madhvan who played the elder brother in the original Vettai. Shahid will mark his foray as an action hero in the film.
