Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra promoted their upcoming movie which is a love story narrated in three different time spans – 1910 Lahore, 1960 Mumbai and 2012 London. This film marks the second time the two have been paired together after Kaminey.
Although Shah Rukh Khan and the recent controversy involving the actress formed a major chunk of the audiences’ curiosity and queries, the duo looked cheerful and fielded most awkward questions with a witty remark or two.
Interestingly, when it was pointed out to the director Kunal Kohli that his storyline resembled the Taiwanese film Three Times, he was quick to blame it on coincidence. He said, “There is no similarity. And if I wanted to remake it, I’d have just bought the rights and made the film.”
And added further to make a point, “When I made Hum Tum there was a Hollywood film called Before Sunset that released six months later.
It had the exact opening scene like my film did... with a press conference going on where the guy releases his book and talks about the love he has lost.” Yes Kunal, coincidences do happen.
