One of the most anticipated movies of the year, ‘Dabangg 2’, which was earlier supposed to release on Eid would now be released during the Christmas weekend. While sources suggest that Salman wanted an Eid release for the ‘Dabangg’ sequel, but it would not be happening now. The reason being another Salman movie ‘Ek Tha Tiger’, which has been scheduled to release on the Muslim festival since very long. And hence, director Arbaaz Khan felt that it would be silly to crowd the same weekend with two Salman releases.
But the question still remains, why was Salman so keen on releasing ‘Dabangg 2’ on Eid even after knowing very well that his ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ would be released on the same occasion? Though the clash of the movies seems to have avoided now, but we cannot help but think that Salman only wanted to cash in on his usual Eid luck for his brother Arbaaz’s first directorial venture.
Arbaaz Khan, on having asked why Salman was insisting on having ’Dabangg 2’ released on Eid, he reportedly said that there would not be any room for another Salman release at that time. He is happy with the Christmas release. Well, Salman, we do understand that you might be emotionally more attached to ‘Dabangg 2’, but even a layman could predict that you would be eating on your own business by releasing the movies together.
