They worked together in last year’s dud Rascals. But upset over the debacle of his latest production, Sanjay Dutt bought the rights of Telugu hit, Badri and gifted it to friend Ajay Devgn.
Now, even as the two bond on the sets of Son of Sardar (SOS) in Patiala, Dutt and Devgn are taking their friendship a step further. Dutt, who co-owns the Mixed Martial Arts venture Super Fight League (SFL), was keen to rope in his Bollywood counterparts for SFL’s Chandigarh event. During a conversation, Ajay expressed his desire to attend the Chandigarh event. And Sanjay was more than happy to have him.
“They have always been great friends. While shooting for SOS, they work out together and besides films, they also discuss their kids. So it’s not surprising that the two will be seen together at the SFL event,” says an insider on the sets of SOS.
When contacted, Raj Kundra, the co-owner of SFL confirms, “I am very excited to hear that Ajay is coming on Sanjay’s invitation. I am a huge fan of both Sanjay and Ajay’s work. They are surely the best action heroes India has. Since Ajay has plenty of ‘reel’ action, I hope he appreciates the ‘real’ action that SFL offers.” Ajay’s SOS co-star Sonakshi Sinha will also attend the event.
