Bollywood buffs can gear up for the latest foreign import in Hindi films. Russian model Era Tsariova is all set to make her debut in Akashaditya Lama's upcoming crossover comedy, Cigarette Ki Tarah. Era, who hails from St. Petersburg, admits she doesn't know much of the Hindi film industry but loves the song-dance routine of Bollywood flicks.
She is naturally excited because debutant director Lama has agreed to give her a special item number in the film, which will also see her essay a supporting role. "I was partying in Goa with friends when the film's co-producer Rana Bhatia approached me with the offer. I was later given a script narration that I loved," she said.
Era's song has been sung by Bollywood's item number specialist Suzanne and rising music director Sudeep Banerjee has composed the music. The makers had earlier approached Claudia Ciesla for the dance but things didn't work out.
