Legendary playback singer Lata Mangeshkar is set to honour actress Madhuri Dixit on account of her contribution to Indian cinema. The Pandit Dinanath Mangeshkar award is bestowed by Lataji on personalities, who have excelled in the fields of arts and service every year on April 24. And this time, the original dhak-dhak girl will be felicitated on the occasion. And the star looks visibly excited these days.

Superstar Madhuri Dixit is considered to be one of the best actresses to have graced the silver screen. Apart from being a brilliant dancer, the actress possessed a beautiful articulate face which has let her win many acting awards in the past. Madhuri has in her repertoire some blockbusters like ‘Devdas’, ‘Hum Aapke Hai Koun…!’, ‘Dil To Pagal Hai’, ‘Tezaab’, et al.

But the actress got married in 1999 and took a semi-sabbatical from the film industry after that. Though she made a comeback of sorts with ‘Aaja Nachle’ in 2007, but the movie bombed at the Box-Office.
