Tinsel town’s swarthy star, known as much for his serious intense performances as for his funny streak -- not to mention, the relentless pranks on his friends and co-stars -- turns a year older today. Ajay Devgan is not into birthday celebrations but he is spending quality time today with his family while filming for his home production Son Of Sardar in Patiala, Punjab.

The shoot has been going on at and near Qila Mubarak where Ajay, along with his mom-in-law Tanuja, sister-in-law Tanisha and daughter Nysa, was spotted on Saturday. Since the actor is a religious man, he also visited the Baba Ala Singh gurdwara and the Kali Mandir in the vicinity.

It’s now been 21 years since Ajay Devgan entered the film industry. Over the years he has been a part of many blockbuster movies, given many memorable performances, and even tried his hand at direction and film production. He will next be seen in the action thriller Tezz, followed by Bol Bachchan. Son of Sardar is being produced by Ajay Devgan and also stars Sonakshi Sinha and Sanjay Dutt.
